The Northvegr Foundation - A
HUGE resource of texts on Germanic mythology,
including a plain-text transcription of Grimm's work. Very highly
recommended.
Ye Ole Viking Bookshop
- A website dedicated to making availablee rare texts on Norse customs
and mythology (sounds a little familiar, doesn't it?)
The Troth - The website of the
Troth, an organization of modern-day practitioners of Asatru (the name
given to the worship of the northern gods). Has a wealth of
information on Germanic beliefs and rituals.
Folklore and
Mythology Electronic Texts - Prof. D.L. Ashliman is something of a
modern day Grimm. His site is a compendium of stories from around
the world. He also has a pretty hefty section on Germanic legends
and sagas. If you're interested in reading folktales, you could
spend all day here (I did
once!).
Internet Medieval
Sourcebook
- Fordham University's compendium of sourrce texts on the Middle
Ages.
Good for doing research into the history of the Germanic tribes and
their neighbors.
